Spartan PPA/PPAOS Support Group
The Spartan PPA/PPAOS Support Group is a space for:
- People living with Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA)
- People living Primary Progressive Apraxia of Speech (PPAOS)
- Family members and friends of people living with PPA/PPAOS
Our goal is to create a warm and supportive space where people can:
- Share experiences
- Build community
- Learn from one another
Participants will begin together as one group. Depending on the number of attendees, we may split into smaller groups. This can help people connect with others who have similar experiences.
Caregivers are welcome to accompany and help people with PPA/PPAOS during meetings.
Meeting Information
In Fall 2026, the group will meet on select Fridays from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM.
Meetings are hybrid. This means you may attend in person or over Zoom.
There is no cost to joining our support group. In-person attendees may purchase a $12 clinic parking permit for the current semester.
Registration is required to attend the support group. After you register, we will contact you to schedule a brief introductory Zoom conversation before your first meeting.
This conversation helps us get to know you, understand what you already know about PPA or PPAOS, and learn how we can best support you. It is not a test, and you do not need to prepare anything.
Meeting dates, location, and the Zoom link will be shared after this introductory conversation.
Registration
Registration is now open for Fall 2026 and is only required once per semester.
If you find this group in the middle or near the end of the semester, you are still welcome. Please register and join us.
