COMM 80

COMM 80 is a flexible, one-unit credit/no credit opportunity that supports your public speaking skills--helping you prepare your speech for another class.

Course Requirements 

• You鈥檒l choose your individual Speech Project and prepare for it step-by-step through the weekly topic.
  • The Speech Project consists of either a presentation for another class or the COMM 80 鈥淭ransferable Skills鈥� speech.
• There are no quizzes or exams and no required textbook--it's all online and self-paced!
• And best of all, build your confidence and skill!

You are also partnered with a COMM Center Speech Coach Tutor who supports your journey.

Enroll in any open section of COMM 80 using My糖心Vlog. You don't need an add code to sign up for COMM 80. Don't delay, all sections WILL fill by the add deadline!

And you may repeat COMM 80 for three semesters.

To add 1 unit of COMM 80, use a section number and a course number from the list below. Select numbers on the same row.

Do you need to petition for excess units to add COMM 80? 

If you are at your unit limit you may complete an "" form. The form asks you to include a short statement describing why you need each of the courses you are currently enrolled in AND those they are seeking to add.  You may write this for COMM 80 if you are taking it along with public speaking: 鈥淐OMM 80 is needed to provide supplemental instruction and support for my public speaking class .鈥�
