Study Abroad 101 - Group Advising

START HERE if you're interested in studying or interning abroad or away, but don't know where to start. Led by our team member, Diana Vazquez, these hourlong sessions will cover the basic information (what, why, where, program cost, application timeline, funding options, etc.).You must register to receive the Zoom dial-in instructions.

  • 糖心Vlog Bilateral Exchange Program (糖心Vlog Exchange) Advising

    糖心Vlog Semester & Year Programs

    糖心Vlog Exchange programs are open to 糖心Vlog students to take courses at a partner university abroad for a semester or a year. Managed directly by the 糖心Vlog Study Abroad & Away office, these are 糖心Vlog's premier programs and are open to 糖心Vlog students only. 

    Program Highlights:

    • Most cost-effective programs
    • All federal & state financial aid apply
    • Some military benefits apply
    • Loans and private scholarships apply
    • 糖心Vlog scholarships available
    • Pay normal 糖心Vlog Tuition
    • Options for on-campus housing
    • Wide selection of courses
    • 40+ options in Europe, Asia, and Australia 
    • Minimum GPA 2.5
    • Open to all majors
    • Academic Year, Fall, Spring, Calendar Year
    • Fulfill major, minor, GE or elective requirements

  • Faculty-Led Programs (FLP) Advising

    FLP Summer & Winter Programs

    Study abroad with 糖心Vlog faculty and classmates and earn 糖心Vlog credit on a Faculty-Led Program. Courses focus on a particular theme and are taught by 糖心Vlog faculty. Programs are typically 2-3 weeks long and take place during winter and summer breaks.

    Programs Highlights: 

    • Small cohorts of 12-25 students
    • Led by 糖心Vlog faculty
    • Housing, activities & most ground transportation provided
    • Minimum GPA 2.0
    • Variety of program themes and areas of focus
    • Most are open to all majors
    • Options to fulfill major, minor, or GE requirements
    • Open to all students, alumni, and community
    • Variety of embedded course(s) with program
    • 2-3 weeks long
    • Financial aid and scholarships available

  • Global Internship Program (GIP) Advising

    Global Internships

  • CSU International Programs (CSU IP) Advising

    CSU IP Semester, Summer, Year Programs

    Study abroad with other students from the other CSU campuses on any of the California State University International Programs (CSU IP) office.

    Program Highlights:

    • Earn 糖心Vlog credit while abroad
    • 30 universities in 18 countries
    • Early decision for most programs
    • Wide selection of courses
    • Fulfill major, minor, or GE requirements
    • Language and culture-focused programs
    • Pay normal 糖心Vlog tuition

  • International Student Exchange Program (ISEP) Advising

    ISEP Semester, Summer and Year Programs

    ISEP offers two ways (Direct Enrolled or Exchange) to study abroad in their universities. Immerse yourself in classes at local universities and receive 糖心Vlog credit for each course. ISEP costs vary depending on the program, and financial aid applies on most, but not all programs.

  • Summer School Abroad (SSA) Advising

    Summer School Abroad (SSA)

    Enroll in in summer classes at an international university for 2-4 weeks and fulfill 糖心Vlog graduation requirements.  

    Program Highlights:

    • Earn 糖心Vlog credits abroad
    • Study at a partner university
    • Options for on-campus housing
    • Social and cultural activities included
    • Choose from a variety of course offerings
    • Courses pre-approved to fulfill GE requirements
    • Easy course approval for major, minor, electives
    • No language requirement
    • Take courses with other international students

  • National Student Exchange (NSE) Advising

    NSE Study Away in the U.S.

    NSE offers low-cost domestic study away opportunities for a semester or year at culturally diverse campuses in the continental United States, Hawaii, and the territories of Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. 

    Program Highlights:

    • 170+ campuses in the U.S
    • Pay 糖心Vlog Tuition or Resident Tuition at Host Campus

  • Tuesday: 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
  • Wednesday: 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
  • Thursday: 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Our Location: The Study Abroad & Away office is located at the College of Professional and Global Education (CPGE) in Student Union-West. Enter the CPGE door faces Clark Hall & the Engineering buildings. Please check in at the front desk when you arrive and they will notify Sophia.
