Minor in Public Health
A minor in Public Health can be add to any major program. The minor requires 15 units of coursework. You can see the course requirements in the 糖心Vlog .
You do not need to meet with an advisor to be added to the minor. This is something we can do over email. If you wish to be added to the minor, please email Public Health faculty advising (public-health-advising@sjsu.edu) with the subject line 鈥淎dd Public Health Minor鈥 and include your Full Name and 糖心Vlog Student ID# in the message. Advisors will confirm when you have been added to the minor.
Please note that some of the upper division courses have prerequisites that are not part of the minor requirements. Students enrolled in the Public Health minor do not need to complete these additional prerequisites to enroll in the upper division classes. Once you are added to the minor, if you have trouble enrolling in a class, please email the Advising mailbox (public-health-advising@sjsu.edu) to request a permission code to allow you to register for the class. In the message, please include:
- The name of the class you would like to register for
- The Class Number
- Your Full Name
- Your Student ID Number
Minor in Health Professions
The 12-19 unit provides an opportunity to reflect on and plan for a career in health, including preparation for advanced degrees in allied health fields.
The minor allows flexibility in lower division and upper division coursework and requires PH 139: Careers in Health Professions as the capstone. Review the Health Professions and declare the minor by completing this .
